Melton McLaurin Graduate Fall Fellowship

The Melton McLaurin Graduate Fellowship has been established as a competitive fellowship intended to support graduate student research or professional development. All graduate students pursuing a Master’s degree in History at the University of South Alabama are eligible to apply.

The McLaurin Fellowship will offer a stipend for travel and research expenses, or professional development expenses. Applicants are required to submit a budget itemizing projected expenses. With such support, students may travel to archives, libraries, and other institutions that require extended travel and time commitments to conduct research or engage in professional development such as intensive language programs at other institutions, or conference travel related to research interests and/or intellectual interests. Research projects at all stages of development will be considered.
