Ella and Cody Wims Scholarship for Study Abroad

This scholarship, made possible by Dr. Lois Wims, was established in 2007 for the purpose of providing financial assistance to a student towards a study abroad program. Funds may only be used towards a recognized university program, that provides at least a three (3) semester credit hours towards graduation. Freshman, as well as graduating seniors, are ineligible for award. Students must be enrolled full-time for the upcoming academic year (fall and spring) in order to apply and receive this scholarship.

    • Include a copy of the brochure describing the program.
    • One-page request for funds including the following: 1.) Details of student's planned itinerary, 2.) Description of program: What subjects will you study while abroad? How will instruction be carried out? How many credits will you receive from this program? Will they apply to your major, minor, or other? and 3.) Cost of the program.
    • Will you be at least 19 years of age prior to your departure?
    • Will you be participating in an established study abroad program?

  4. Will you be classified as a Sophomore or a Junior for the 2020-2021 academic year?
